The Gane Type C1 is a thoughtfully designed, vintage-inspired automatic watch that draws on 1970s industrial design with modern execution. Its two-piece sandy salmon dial features a raised outer ring with deep radial grooves, giving it a sunray texture that plays beautifully with light. The warm salmon tone adds character while keeping the overall design refined and minimal.
The 38mm tonneau-shaped case is crafted from vertically brushed 316L stainless steel, with polished chamfered edges that enhance its profile. A box-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating adds distortion and vintage charm, while the caseback features a custom hand-sketched design created by the brand’s founder as a tribute to his late mother.
Powering the Type C1 is the dependable Miyota 8215 automatic movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve and supporting both automatic and manual winding. While it does not hack, the movement is reliable and widely serviceable.
You can choose between a 4mm thick European leather strap or a brushed stainless steel 5-link bracelet, both with quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, making it suitable for daily wear.
