Not the first quartz watch, but easily one of the more modern watches to be listed here at The T3 Shop!
While not technically vintage yet- the circa 1996 production date means this Certina DS is gettin’ there!
The gold-tone bezel and matte stainless steel case gives this watch a very sporty look.
The sapphire crystal, shock resistant swiss quartz movement, and 100m water resistance rating means this Certina DS is one tough cookie on it’s VAER nato strap! (The strap is aftermarket)
This watch has surprisingly vibrant lume indexes after all these years, and they really do catch a lot of light!
The date complication is an added plus, making this watch a GREAT, robust daily wear.
I love Certina, and I’m super happy to have found such a clean example of a really neat sports watch with its box and papers to go along with it!!
